If you could take a break from your life and go back to school to master a subject, what would it be?

Something in the creative arts or IT field, like web design or computer programming seem very appealing. These are things I am actively studying right now any way, so something other than that, maybe journalism?

I never really thought about being a writer, or even foresaw myself as teaching it. But recently I have been doing it more often and have reached a point of actually enjoying it!

In a previous post “Singular Sensation“, I briefly mention my thoughts about writing and what it means to me.

I think a lot of the influence and interest in writing comes from my experience in university. As a humanities student, writing was the core of nearly every field in that department. So, I guess developing some level of interest seems natural.

Basically, creative environments and interests are where I flourish. It’s where I’m at my best. It’s where I feel the most free.

This is part of an effort to improve as a writer and to get myself writing more. So as not to focus so much on perfection and formatting, when responding to these prompts, I use more of a stream-of-conscious style of writing. One of my goals is to become faster at getting my ideas out of my head and onto a physical platform, while keeping in mind to gradually build up my skill at doing so in a more fluid and concise manner.
