After spending time with a group of people, do you feel energized and ready for anything or do you want to hide in the corner with a good book? This is tricky. I suppose depending on the group of people I’m with, I’d be down for anything. In my university days, I was an active member of a dance group, B-Boys Anonymous. We were basically a club of individuals who all shared a passion and love for dance. We’d often have practice sessions, meetings, parties and afterparties. My love for dance still lives on until today, and sometimes I actually wish I could go back to those days when I’d hang out with all my dancer friends and just wreak shenanigans wherever we went. It was my time with these people that I’d feel energized to just do anything, partly because they were just cool people, but more importantly we all shared a love for dance. My close friends would also be another group I could do anything with. But if it were any other group, my natural instinct would probably lean towards the latter choice of the question. And rather than a book, I’d probably pick myself up an ice cold Monster, chips of some sort and geek out for hours playing my favorite RPG, action-adventure and or survival-horror game (Final Fantasy, Metal Gear & Resident Evil series all come to mind). This is part of an effort to improve as a writer and to get myself writing more. So as not to focus so much on perfection and formatting, when responding to these prompts, I use more of a stream-of-conscious style of writing. One of my goals is to become faster at getting my ideas out of my head and onto a physical platform, while keeping in mind to gradually build up my skill at doing so in a more fluid and concise manner.
