Tell us about the farthest you’ve ever traveled from home.

My honeymoon to Italy takes the cake.

In the late winter of 2015, I traveled 9089 kilometers on a plane with my wife from Sapporo to Milan for our honeymoon.

Milan was the first city of four we visited in Italy. Venice, Florence and Rome were the other three. We traveled there on our a tour package organized by JAL Airlines.

It was the first time to Europe for both of us and the sights of Italy were everything we imagined and more.

Buono!

Food was the main highlight of our trip! Nothing beats real Italian pasta, Nutella and espresso in Italy.

This is part of an effort to improve as a writer and to get myself writing more.
